DIRT WURX USA returns to country singer CRAIG Morgan's 7th annual Charity Weekend

DIRT WURX USA’s Kory Christensen & Chris Blankenship tune up the MX track for Craig Morgan Charity Fund benefitting Billy’s Place

imgMONROE, N.Y. (Oct. 8, 2013) – DIRT WUX USA’s top operators Kory Christensen and Chris Blankenship rolled back down to Tennessee to country and western singer Craig Morgan’s 7th annual Charity Motocross Ride, concert and Sporting Clay Shoot to benefit “Billy’s Place,” a welcoming home founded by Morgan to assist temporarily displaced children.

Tuning up a motocross track they’d built several years ago for Morgan, Christensen and Blankenship’s work was enjoyed by numerous dirt bike-friendly celebrities and country music dignitaries, along with some familiar names in the MX and off-road industry, including: Jimmy Albertson, Destry Abbott, Fred Andrews, Brett Cue, Randy Hawkins, Andrew Short and Larry Ward.

“We basically just stripped the grass off last year’s track and tuned it up,” said Christensen of the track on Morgan’s buddy’s property, including a 70-foot triple, numerous double, a whoop pad and several bowl turns. “We had another event to get to this year, so we weren’t able to stay and ride. But I heard everybody was pumped with the track.”

Morgan, who rides himself, was on hand both days the DIRT WURX USA team was there – as Christensen put it – to put up fences and hang string pennant and banners. “He (Morgan) even put on an acoustic show for about 20 of us one night, which was pretty cool,” added Christensen.

For the event fans were treated to an intimate concert from Morgan, which also featured performances from musical friends Aaron Lewis and Tate Stevens. Truly a family affair, Morgan’s daughter, Aly joined her father onstage for the first time ever, singing “We’ll Come Back Around,” from his new album The Journey. The night also featured a live auction with items including a one of a kind hand painted Fly Racing helmet by Josh Gray, a trip to Hawaii and a Turkey Hunt with Craig on his TV show bringing in the top bids.

DIRT WURX USA donates its time and expenses to the cause for Morgan’s event in Dickson, Tenn. – with all proceeds benefitting Billy’s Place, a component fund of the Dickson County Craig Morgan Foundation. The organizations primary goal is to assist foster children in Dickson County and throughout Middle Tennessee.

Added DIRT WURX USA boss Rich Winkler: “DIRT WURX USA is happy to come down to Craig Morgan’s event once again to lend a hand with things. (Kevin) Windham got us involved with this event a few years ago and I’ve sent my guys back every year to help out. It’s definitely a worthy cause and DIRT WURX USA is happy to be able to help out.”
