MONROE, N.Y. (June, 2011) – Another great DIRT WURX USA-designed & built amateur motocross track is now open for business. Missouri’s Sky High MX, located in Old Appleton, had its first open public practice and race meet this past weekend, gating nearly 200 racers on the 300 acre former soy bean farm.img

Sky High MX proprietors Larry and Pricilla Hull spared no expense in lining the DIRT WURX USA track on their property with all the necessary accoutrements needed to rate as a fine amateur MX establishment. Scoring tower with observation deck, concession stand and restrooms? Check! Chain-link fencing? Check! Bleachers? Check! Hay bales, painted tires, irrigation? Check, Check, Check!

“We’re pumped to see Larry and Pricilla’s dream track become a reality,” said DIRT WURX USA’s Rich Winkler. “From the beginning they’ve made sure no corner was cut, no shortcut was taken in order to establish Sky High MX as one of the Midwest’s premier amateur MX facilities. DIRT WURX USA is honored to have been part of the process from the very beginning and look forward to our continued relationship in helping the Hulls and Sky High MX with their amateur races in the coming years.”

Aligned with the MotoMidwest Series and St. Louis’ Archview MX, Sky High MX called upon DIRT WURX USA’s at-event expertise for help with their inaugural event. With DIRT WURX USA’s Chris Blankenship and Kory Christensen handling all the track prepping and between race grooming, Chris’ wife, Crystal, quarterbacked the registration and Trackside race scoring for Sky High MX in an event that came off without a hitch.

“I’m so impressed with the work the Hulls have done and DIRT WURX USA is proud to be associated at such a high level with their track,” added Winkler. “When the sun broke through the clouds that first morning, and ‘Old Glory’ was flying over that perfectly groomed track – with  a full pit area – it was a heck-of-a proud moment for our guys.”

Next up at Sky High MX is the Aug. 14th King of the Hill race.
