Rain, sleet & snow can't stop Dirt Wurx USA either as Wink & crew go Postal getting SLC done

Rice-Eccles Stadium track’s done, covered as forecasts call for two inches of snow tonight – Saturday looks to be good race weather

MONROE, N.Y. (April 29, 2011) – In a whirlwind display of heavy equipment wizardry and slcunsurpassed stadium dirt show knowhow – along with some genuine asses & elbows grinding - DIRT WURX USA withstood a number of body blows from Mother Nature and, on time and under budget, laid the smack down on another epic Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship, track at Rice-Eccles Stadium.

And all that as Salt Lake City’s expecting another two inches of snow tonight!

“Track’s done and covered. (Starting) Gate’s in. Tower’s up. (Tuff) Blocks are out,” said Rich Winkler of DIRT WURX USA. “We’ve got road base down in the flat start area to help survive Friday’s weather, with a stockpile of dirt and a drying agent we’ll spread out Saturday morning after the track’s uncovered.

“All is good.”

Sitting around in the DIRT WURX USA rig, Winkler and crew were tossing around some numbers and – in an interesting twist of mathematics – if the top four guys in the SX class standings (RV, Reed, Dungey and JBS) finish in the inverse order of their current overall ranking at SLC (i.e., RV 4th, Reed 3rd, Dungey 2nd and Stewart wins), then the guy who wins Vegas would win the overall SX championship – something that’s never happened before in the sport between four riders (and has rarely happened with two!).
