MONROE, N.Y. (Jan. 4, 2011) –  Cutting through the mud and dealing with epic rain storms like no other company in the world can in order to build a pro-class stadium supercross track, DIRT WURX USA has landed in southern California to put the blade to the first of a series of events that will decide who’s the best racers on the planet in 2011 Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship.

It’s no secret that DIRT WURX USA gets the nod when a series of week-after-week, month-after-month multi-million dollar events are on the line, tickets are sold in advance and fans are pumped to sit back and watch pro racers fly around a track carved so steeply that you’d be hard pressed to navigate on foot. “Supercross” in the United States and around the globe means DIRT WURX USA when it comes to the design and construction, along with the highly technical move-in/move-out process in the world’s greatest stadiums – some costing in excess of a billion dollars.

“DIRT WURX USA is pleased to be back on board with the Feld Motor Sports team for what should prove to be a highly interesting season of supercross racing,” said Rich Winkler, President of DIRT WURX USA. “The wet conditions in southern California have been well documented these past several weeks and we’ve certainly kept a wary eye on the Weather Channel.

“But as they say, ‘It’s go time,’ and the racers and fans can expect another premier supercross track designed and constructed by the good folks at DIRT WURX USA. We’ve worked together with the Feld Motor Sport crew and have been proactive in the weeks leading up to Anaheim 1 – taking steps to protect the dirt before it even goes into the stadium. That effort, combined with a break in the weather, will make for perfect track conditions this weekend.”

With many of the same principle equipment operators (make that heavy equipment “magicians”) returning for another supercross season with DIRT WURX USA, including Norm Bickley, Kory Christensen, Chris Blankenship and Dave Hellyer, Winkler also points out the addition of Bob Childers to DIRT WURX USA’s full-time crew. Childers, a former pro and current competitive A-level racer out of Iowa (who was a hay bale thrower for Winkler in the past), stepped up and designed seven of the 15 DIRT WURX USA tracks this year - to which Winkler added “Several of them needed no changes whatsoever. Complete and innovative drawings with numerous new ideas that we’ll incorporate into this year’s supercross series.”

Winkler cited a number of key points to this season that should lend itself to some incredible racing action for the fans. 1.) The obvious – a healthy Chad Reed & James Stewart battling with the defending champ, Ryan Dungey. 2.) The return of Ryan Villopoto. And 3.) A number of rip-roarin’ younger kids moving up to the 450 class, including Trey Canard and Jake Weimer.
